Proud Moments

A few months ago,we were provided with our lifetime opportunity by MABIF(Madurai Agri Business Incubation Forum).The project is to expand the market of Kaani Tribes,a tribal community living in India’s First Tiger Reserve Forest-Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve Forest.They were selling their valuable products at the Saturday Market in Palayamkotai Uzhavar Santhai.We were introduced to one of a best human we ever met Mr.Ganeshan,Eco Development Officer of Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve Forest.The products of Kaani Tribes haven’t reached the people in Tirunelveli.He asked to to develop a basic website to reach people.We presented him with a fully functional Ecommerce website in the next morning.It was designed in just 3 hours.In the next few weeks,we went to meet the tribal people in their own settlement area.We walked around 10 Kms in deep forest to meet the tribal people.Spent a whole day with them.The proud moment is that we are the only company allowed to meet the the Kaani Tribal people in their own settlement area.

After a week, there products went nationwide through their own Ecommerce website and also through Amazon and Flipkart.A product which was not known even in their own district is now available to people nationwide.Within a short time,their products had reached more than 5 states.The success story of Kaani Tribes had reached International development organizations like UNDP(United Nations Development Programme) an organisation under United Nations.They had mentioned the Business model of Kaani Tribes as an example for Inclusive Business Model (IBM) for goods.Their story has been covered in Economic Times ET Insights.We are very proud to be a part of this remarkable project.Our sincere thanks to NABARD-MABIF and Mr.Ganesan,Former-Eco Development Officer,Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve Forest for providing this great opportunity.
